Qu’il est bon d’être loin du soleil

de retour dans le nord

aux obscurs gisements de mes îles

où l’hiver est si long

que bien peu de lumière

nous parvient, mais parfaite.

The relief to be out of the sun,

To have come north once more

To my islands of dark ore

Where winter is so long

Only a little light

Gets through, and that perfect.
